2019 Seoul Motor Show has attracted 628,000 visitors

The 2019 Seoul Motor Show, which was held from March 29 to April 7 at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, under the theme of “Sustainable and Intelligent Movement Revolution,” ended. The cumulative number of visitors reached 628,000 over the 10-day period, slightly up from the 2017 Seoul Motor Show.(Fixed value as of 19:00 on April 7th, 610,000 people visited in 2017

The 2019 Seoul Motor Show featured about 270 cars, including 40 new cars (7 world Premier, 11 Asian Premier, and 22 Korean Premier), seven electric car brands, two-wheeled cars and camping cars, and 227 companies participated in the event. In particular, the Seoul Motor Show made a differentiated attempt under the keynote that the participating companies are the main characters.

In order to improve its constitution into a mobility show, the 2019 Seoul Motor Show has set up exhibition halls in a total of seven theme halls, including three themes, “Sustainable Energy,” “Connected” and “Mobility,” which are penetrating the global auto industry, allowing visitors to take a quick look at the future auto industry. In line with this, SK Telecom participated for the first time, and companies that were not seen at previous motor shows such as Korea Electric Power Corp. and Korea East-West Power Co. increased their participation. The organizing committee plans to actively reflect the formation of theme halls in future motor shows, and will also make efforts to attract related companies.

In addition, in order to provide opportunities for small and medium-sized companies with excellent technologies and products to grow further, the company prepared opportunities to brief media outlets during the event. During the motor show, 15 companies, including Unmanned Solution, Mobile Tech, Chabot, Daechang Motors and Rotten, participated in the briefing held four times on weekdays. The event plans to further expand the size and size of participating companies at the upcoming Seoul Motor Show to make it an opportunity for small and medium-sized companies to unveil new technologies and new products at the motor show site for the first time.

In addition, the company reduced its event-oriented programs such as opening performances and congratulatory speeches, and introduced key note speech for the first time, in which participants introduced their new technologies and new products. This year, three companies, including Hyundai Motor Co., SK Telecom Co., and SK Zatco Korea, participated in the motor show, and companies that will introduce new technologies and new products will receive intensive attention from the media and buyers, and through this, other participating companies will also create a virtuous cycle that will strengthen their willingness to participate in the keynote speech.
